an economic Factory
active
Wanted result
the Factory dispatches, returns, delegates and chooses which model does what at the least cost that does the work well: Jev picks the worker before a subagent or a seat is started, a check at a turn's end asks whether to compact before the cache expires, and a large-context seat is weighed against a fresh seat with a brief
Current reality
choose-worker (miadi-witness 0.7.14) runs on jev-1.14.0, and MINO §5 makes it the rule before a subagent or seat starts; the study in this vessel (e37d0020) reads its five calls: the worker choice separates the tasks, needs_person sits at 0.42 to 0.61 on all five, and facts was empty every time; the study itself went to Fable at 0.51, under the seat's 0.6 bar, and the seat confirmed it; its Economy part measured 62 live seats holding 27.7M context tokens, 56 of them idle past the 5-minute cache, so one steer to all of them costs $117.66 cold against $4.56 warm, and no Factory tool reads the cache tokens; K14 (a compaction check, context size from tide-runtime) is proposed, none of it built; only Episode 562 kept Jev's billing headers

K14, an economic Factory, at William's word: "the cost right now of how the factory actually runs is very high ... construct something that's going to be economic in terms of how we're going to dispatch, how we're going to come back, how we're going to delegate, and how we're going to choose which model does what"; Level 7 of the fork, 'Should I Compact', to be adapted after this episode's study

choose-worker asks Jev which worker takes a task (self, haiku, sonnet, opus, fable or a seat), after William: be "Economic in your usage of subagents or spawning of other tmux workers by using JEV decision engine"; first answers sonnet 0.66, self 0.81, fable 0.63

PT3: William finds the Factory costly, a small model is asked before each task which worker should take it, and a night's count shows what waking fifty-six idle seats costs
