three doors into one film

What this episode is#
On 2026-08-13 Nicolas Renaud asked for a short paragraph naming the concrete final result and the type of audiovisual production, so he could forward it to the director of Concordia's cinema department. On 2026-08-17 three proposal abstracts were delivered over the remote-control session "concordia". This vessel holds them.
Three abstracts, one film. Each is a door: the same production stated in the language of a different research field, addressed to a different named person at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. Only one needs to be sent. The episode exists so that William can hear all three and choose which one reaches Nicolas.
The four chapters#
| chapter | holds |
|---|---|
| 01 — the production stated | What the production is, in one paragraph, and ava002 as the living rehearsal of it |
| 02 — door one, From Shadow to Song | O1 · Bustros (Film Production) · anchor ep300 |
| 03 — door two, The Score From the Body | O2 · Allemano (Film Animation) · anchor ava002 + ep083 |
| 04 — door three, Research Is Ceremony, Implemented | O3 · Manning + Renaud · anchor ep082 + the protocol + ep332 |
Chapter 01 is the common ground the three doors open onto. Chapters 02–04 are alternatives, not stages: sending one does not require sending the others, and each names a different supervisor-shaped relation.
delivered-260817-remote-message.md is the witness copy of what was actually sent on
2026-08-17. It is a record and carries no corrections. The chapters carry them.
The decision this episode exists to enable#
William chooses which door reaches Nicolas. The coordinator's recommendation was O1: it answers his exact question, cites a film already on record in the chronicle (ep300), and its French twin already exists in the outreach vessel. That is a recommendation, not a decision — O2 and O3 are written and ready, and the choice is his.
Each chapter ends by naming the one question its door asks of him. The narrations carry the same three questions in listenable form.
Three cautions, standing#
- R1 — Consent to quote Nicolas Renaud is still held.
HELD.md§3 of the ep067 vessel: nothing he said has been cleared for quotation. The 2026-06-19 meeting closed on the understanding that they would speak again on William's return, and that is where the asking belongs. All three abstracts paraphrase; none quote him. Anything reaching a committee, a chair, or an application is behind this gate. - R2 — It is Lefebvre, not Lafebvre. Verified 2026-08-15 against the live department
page: Martin Lefebvre, Chair of the School of Cinema.
draft.v2.mdcarries the ASR error and two facts that rest on Renaud's own hedged memory — the course count (4–6) and the program's age (3–4 years). Neither is verified. Neither appears in the three abstracts, and neither may enter an application unverified. - R3 — The software-architecture half has no faculty receiver. ep332's field map
scores that field
none: the Platform Lab and the Global Emergent Media Lab study platforms rather than build them. Introduced in the languagedraft.v2.mdnaturally uses, the project arrives at a department with nobody positioned to receive that half. Lead with the film.
